Hah! You certainly sound like an ‘oppressive know-it all’ and ‘cruel’ (Haha! where did that come from?) more than I ever did. It strikes me so bizarre that people take such offense to something that attacks no-one. But on reflection it’s quite obvious why, I suppose: your post stinks of fear of the unknown, a fear of being challenged. You can’t articulate any meaningful points in opposition to what I’ve written, so instead you resort to sweeping generalisations that offer no insight. You shut down debate, and resist moving the field forward simply because you are afraid of fundamental change, and feel safe where you are— which is the point I’m getting across in my article.

More than anything, it’s depressing that people like you exist — but I suppose this is what we all must deal with. Again, if you aren’t going to post anything meaningful in response — don’t bother, it will just be deleted.
