I think I do, I’ve certainly studied enough of them. This article is certainly critical as well. Perhaps in a more meta-way, but it is nonetheless critical.
In fact, as I was trying to get across in this article, many critical issues were well represented at Futurefest, but bandied about in very general terms without any real opposition. The issues that we’ve seen result from this is that opportunities for innovative, collaborative solutions are dissolved in the face of dichotomous, adversarial groupings (see: Twitter). As I was mentioning, I think that Superflux presented some more productive methods for technological discourse, but as a whole I think Futurefest often wasn’t that productive, thoughtful & incisive in its engagement with technology.
